The short version
HyLife does not sell, rent, trade or share your information with anyone. There are no ads, no analytics and no third-party trackers. We keep only the small amount of information HyLife needs to work (who you are on Twitch or YouTube, and which avatar items you have unlocked and chosen) and we use it only to run HyLife.
What HyLife stores
When you log in with Twitch or YouTube, HyLife stores:
- Twitch: your Twitch user ID, username, display name, profile picture link and, if Twitch provides it, your email address.
- YouTube: your YouTube channel ID, handle and channel name. HyLife does not store your Google email address or Google profile picture.
- Sign-in data: the access tokens Twitch or Google issue when you log in, and a session cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 7 days.
- Your HyLife data: the cosmetic items you have unlocked, how you unlocked them (for example a channel-point redemption, a subscription or a Bits cheer, including Bits totals), and the avatar and integration choices you save.
HyLife reads stream chat so your avatar can react on the stream overlay. Chat messages are handled as they arrive and are not saved.
How it is used
Your information is used only to sign you in, show your avatar and unlocks, put your avatar on stream, and unlock items when you interact with the stream. Your username, display name and avatar may appear publicly on stream, as they would in chat.
YouTube and Google
HyLife uses YouTube API Services. When you log in with YouTube, HyLife asks for read-only access and makes one request to find your channel. It never posts, changes or deletes anything on your account. By logging in with YouTube you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. You can remove HyLife's access at any time from your Google account security settings.
Twitch
Twitch's handling of your data is covered by the Twitch Privacy Notice. You can remove HyLife's access at any time from your Twitch connections settings.
Where it is kept
HyLife's data is kept on a privately run server and is protected with reasonable security measures. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise that it never will be accessed without permission.
Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your HyLife account and everything stored with it at any time by emailing silverlink@sssilverlink.com. You can also ask what we have stored about you or ask us to correct it. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
HyLife is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly store information about them. Twitch and YouTube also require users to be at least 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Questions can go to silverlink@sssilverlink.com.
